30 B4 30

Before I turned 30 I made some goals of things I wanted to do before then.  That day has come and gone.  I didn’t finish all my goals, but I’m still going to keep crossing them off as I do them.

      1. Grow a beautiful garden for cut flowers
      2. Pay off my car loan.(done! Nov. ’11)
      3. Take the girls to the ocean. (done!)
      4. Get an adorable family photo taken.( done!)
      5. Learn how to make artistic videos that captures childhood for the girls.
      6. Get a facial.
      7. Figure out a garage storage system. (done!)
      8. Learn to dance with Joey.
      9. Hike up a mountain.
      10. Have a perfectly green (color & environmental) lush lawn.
      11. Reupholster a piece of furniture. (done!)
      12. Build a beautiful bed for Rory. (done!)
      13. Learn to water ski. (done!)
      14. Get the perfect hair cut & style. (done!)
      15. Make a quilt. (done!)
      16. Volunteer. (done!)
      17. Compost.
      18. Watch Glee.(season 1 & 2 down)
      19. Read a great book. (done!)
      20. Run a 5K without stopping.
      21. Adopt an animal from the humane society. (Chester! and Rudy!)
      22. Implement (and stick t0)  a no-shoe policy for the house.
      23. Bake a pie.  All. By. Myself.
      24. Learn to play a little something on the guitar.
      25. Sell something I’ve made.  (not computer design related) (done!)
      26. Go on a bicycle date with Joey.
      27. Grow vegetables.
      28. Go to a balloon festival.
      29. Catch a fish.(done!)
      30. Lose 30 pounds

(I’ll cross them off as I complete them)

    Okay Amy, I can help you with your goals:
    #1 – Plant starts from my garden
    #3 – We can be your bed ‘n breakfast; 65 miles to the ocean
    #7 – “Don’t” consult Uncle Harold on this – please.
    #9 – Mt. Hood in our front yard – 50 miles
    #13 – Uncle Bob and Scott have the boat, cousins can
    assist you with skiing. I’ll pack the picnic.
    #22 – my advise – come visit before adopting an animal
    #25 – Concrete leaf idea – people want to buy mine!
    #29 – Fishing is good here! (and very tasty!)

    This is an awesome blog Amy. And I love the pictures as well. Joey’s sister Amy taught him how to dance as I remember, but he was Not into it. I hope you have better luck. Of course,that has been a few years back. I think you two are such a cute couple.

    Found new uses in bedroom. http://www.realsimple.com/new-uses-for Use colored electrical tape to “stripe” an old chair. Picture on the website. Pefect for the girls room. You are so good at finding old items to redo.
