This weekend we had our third Woodworking Workshop. As I mentioned in my last post, everyone just built whatever they wanted.
We started the day off with a delicious hot breakfast made by Joey.
Then everyone got their plans together, wood list ready and we headed to Home Depot to pick out some wood.
Checking out was a little more complicated this go around. But we stayed organized and tried to make it as painless as possible for the checkout girl (wearing a bow!).
My cousin Ashley is staying with us this summer for an internship in town. She got in on the building too. She hadn’t built anything since middle school wood shop class. She did an excellent job on a shelf.
Amanda built a box to hold old records (like the kind you listen to, not like taxes and such.) And she also built a shelf, the same kind Ashley built.
Alan and Aubrey both built cabinets to hide their trash cans. They turned out really nice. I can’t wait to see them painted.
We were working pretty much the whole entire day on our projects. It was 10 pm before the last person left. It was a long, but extremely fun and fulfilling day.
